As of May 1, 2008 all payments for classes are do in full on the first day of class.
A $20 non-refundable deposit for first time clients of group sessions will be required to hold your place in the next
available class. This deposit will be applied to cost of class.
If you do not attend the first class in which you have reserved a place, you will
not be permitted to complete to class and your deposit will be forfeited. If you reserve a place in the next class, an additional
$20 deposit will be required. Failure to attend the first night of this second class will be an automatic discharge
from my services.
Some price changes have also been made:
All introductory group class have been reduced from $120 to $90. I will no longer
accept payment plans for first time clients. I reserve the right to decline payment options for other clients.
Private sessions and consultations fees have increased from $45 to $55 dollars
and mileage will be applied to all private sessions more than 10 miles outside of the downtown Portsmouth area unless sessions
are scheduled on days that I am visiting the area.
A $10 fee will be charged for missed private sessions or evaluations that
fail to cancel before the appointment time. Failure to pay the fee or more than two non-cancelled, missed appointments will
be an automatic discharge from my services.
Participation is essential to keep all group classes in session. Reserving a place
in class and not showing up hurts the entire class as socialization is a part of group class and it is not financially responsible
for me to offer group classes to one or two participants. Because many choose to reserve classroom space and then do not attend
classes I have been forced to make the above changes.
The first night of classes are important for introductions, paper work, setting
in of all the dogs. I often have staff available to help make the first night of classes go as smoothly as possible. When
you do not attend this class and come to class the next week this must all be repeated. These delays are not fair to other
participants who attended the first week. Clients that attend the fist night of class also help to keep costs down by not having to schedule assistants on multiple days.
We will be training more outdoors in the Spring and Summer. Check with your vet
about flee and tick control. Also remember that it is the law to have your dogs licensed by the county in which you live.
You can be sited for failure to purchase this license even if your dog is on leash in a public area. If you do not have your
dogs license and your dog escapes from you, you can also be charged for a dog at large. County dog license also provide useful
information in helping lost dogs find their way back home. Check with your local auditors office to purchase these tags.
